Area Information.
Visitors to the Edge of the Wilderness area have many different choices for recreational adventure: birding, photography, golfing, hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, tennis, hunting, camping, fishing (Walleye, Muskie, Northern, Crappie, Bass, Bluegill, Trout, and others), swimming, or boating in one of the 1,000+ lakes of the area. Many other recreational opportunities are also available throughout the Edge of the Wilderness area.
The Marcell Town Park is located across from us and offers a 1.5 mile paved trail, tennis courts, playground equipment, restrooms, skating rink, ball field, and picnic areas. There is also a sidewalk close to the RV Park that allows residents to connect to Marcell area businesses and attractions.
The Edge of the Wilderness Discovery Center in Marcell offers interesting & interactive interpretive displays and exhibits, a gift shop, Edge of the Wilderness Area & Chippewa National Forest Information, a fishing Pier, an interpretive trail, a picnic area, an environmental education room, and summer naturalist programs.
